Bloemist means florist in Dutch—a little nod to our family history and a very special woman, our Nana Rose.
Born in Holland, Nana Rose came to England after the war. She went on to raise nine children while building two successful businesses of her own. Hardworking, determined and full of spirit, she has always inspired us.
Our roots. Our inspiration.
When we chose the name Bloemist, we wanted to carry a little piece of Nana Rose with us. A nod to where she came from, while channelling some of her strength, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit into something of our own.
And so, Bloemist Family Florist was born in 2022: a mother and daughter team, creating beautiful flowers with love, family and a little bit of Nana Rose at the heart of it all.

Our designs celebrate the beauty of nature: soft, abundant arrangements filled with seasonal blooms, delicate textures and natural movement. Inspired by cottage gardens and wild landscapes, our flowers feel romantic, effortless and timeless.
